The SKYS Cloud 9 Programme is a bridging programme designed by professionals from Recruitment, HR, the training industry, teachers and senior leaders in education to bridge the gaps of learning between education, the wider outside world and employment.

Programme Aims

The aim of this programme is to support the needs of Post 16 learners after completing GCSE’s, or students at colleges or Universities to help them step up and out into the world of work after leaving education more equipped with the skills and knowledge they will need for later life.  This programme can also be delivered at a much more basic level for younger learners in primary or early secondary education.
 

We recognise that many HE and FE courses include work opportunities and learners will have had differing experiences depending on the opportunities afforded them in their mainstream education.
 

This programme will therefore aid the transition, whatever the learners starting point, to ensure they build the necessary networks in the world of work to take them in to the early stages of their careers.

Programme Overview

Aligned to the Gatsby Benchmark and taking into consideration any learning gaps in the PSHE Curriculum,  The SKYS Programme Cloud 9 is structured into learning modules (Clouds) that can be delivered as one whole programme over a period of time, or single modules depending upon your needs:

Who is it for?

This programme can be designed bespoke for primary, secondary and further educational settings. Although the learning outcomes aim to achieve the same, the activities and learning experiences will be bespoke to the ages of the audience.

This programme is very flexible and can therefore be adapted to suit your needs in terms of times and costs.


Cloud modules can be delivered as day sessions or shorter 3 hour sessions and you can choose the whole programme or individual Clouds that may help fill the gap in your currently curriculum offerings.

Practical Session and Assessment

  • Learners will attend a live interview with an internally chosen panel where they will be taken through a mock interview to assess how they put their learning into practice.  The panel will provide constructive feedback on how they have performed and based on a framework of assessments linked to the programme. 
  • If permission is granted, this session can be recorded and given to the learner to reflect on and used during the feedback for review
