Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service
Claire was wonderful in how she delivered that training in such a blended way, that may have been new to some of the attendants. She was professional, engaging, warm, and hitting the right level of humour for her mixed Fire Service audience. The content was pitched at the appropriate level with initial theory and practicals to back up that theory, without feeling mundane or boring. Claire has a passion for developing others and I think that that was palpable for the group who were fully immersed. The information about SWOT, Change, PAC, Delegation, Leadership Styles, difficult conversations, and TED for example were beneficial elements and created many discussion points within the group.
I think that the course had a wonderful blend of Service personnel from Ops, Control, and Support (Grey and Green) which only enhanced the impact of the training. This is something that needs to continue.
Due to the Service focusing so heavily on Incident Command; only a fraction of that individual’s role, I believe this training should be mandatory before attending an Incident Course, it is that important.
